UOW scholarships 2023

We are super excited to be entering our 6th year in partnership with the University of Wollongong, offering Scholarships to attend the University of Wollongong and play Rugby at Southern Districts.

This Scholarship program has allowed players to concentrate on their University and Rugby endeavours with the support of the University of Wollongong Scholarship program – this is an excellent example of our great Club, a community focussed University and the great sport of rugby, supporting and driving vocational development for our players.

Southern Districts are fortunate to have this Scholarship program with one of top 200 World ranked Universities which is located in one of the best locations of Wollongong with its beaches, parklands and nightlife and lifestyle. 

The Scholarship program is open to male and female rugby players 18 years and over who want to take advantage of attending the University of  Wollongong and while playing rugby with one of the top Sydney Rugby clubs in the Shute Shield competition boasting what many describe as the best Rugby program in the Shute Shield.
