Sad news with the passing in late July of Cyril Nethery. Cyril was a former first grade player with St George Rugby, member of North Cronulla Surf Club, the first ever patron of the Burraneer Junior Rugby Club and played Rugby League for the St George. The weekend's games v Parramatta were going to a be 3 games of good rugby and sheer frustration and the day did not disappoint. We were hoping for some rain and looks like the people who were doing the rain dances were dancing to Barry Manilow music because nothing happened.

Eastwood games are always a highlight of our season. After playing a solid game against Norths at Forshaw in Round 5, this game was seen as a way of cementing our position in the top 2. After a disappointing loss to a well drilled Eastern Suburbs in round 4, this game was important to see how we would rebound.
