We Need You!

Volunteer in 2021

Now more important than ever, volunteering is critical to the success of our club. We have thrown all of our energies into 2021 and beyond and there are simply not enough people to get the work done.

So…… how could you help?

We have a number of areas where you could help and make a difference and here they are for you to consider. If you have questions or are keen to have a go, let Rids know via paul.r@southerndistricts.com.au

Note: All of these roles below require consistency. Not hundreds of hours, just as much as you can in line with our needs. We need certainty as the season kicks off. (Thanks!)

TREASURY (2-8 hours per week)

  • Club treasurer and 1 x board meeting per month

  • General assistant (working with treasurer /bookkeeper /president)

GAME DAY (one day per week during season)

  • Friday morning setup (chairs, bars, floor layout, field)

  • Main club door staff (check tickets/guest services)

  • Game day runner for club

    • bar re-stocking

    • change provider

    • field runner

  • Game day runner for rugby

    • Hydration preparation

    • Change room management

    • General assistant

  • Content Co-ordinator

    • collect, collate and prepare game day images, words, video

    • conduct interviews, behind the scenes, birthdays e.t.c

EVENTS (as required)

  • Event co-ordination and setup (game day)

  • Event co-ordination and setup (non game day)

FACILITY MANAGEMENT (4-8 hours per week)

  • Handypersons (mowing, fence repair, painting)

  • Field maintenance, sign installation e.t.c
