A GROUP OF SUPPORTERS BACKED THE REBEL RUGBY FOUNDATION.
HERE IS WHAT THEIR MONEY DID.
Last season, supporters of Southern District Rugby Club backed the Rebel Rugby Foundation. Applications for funding opened in January. The RRF committee has now approved its first four allocations of 2026, and $11,589 has been deployed back into the club and the local game.
WHERE IT WENT
$5,000 to Colts, for the retention of players
$3,500 to the Women’s program, toward a Physio and S&C Coach
$2,000 to Grade, for transport for out-of-area players
$1,089 to Southern Districts Juniors for 45 match balls used at trials, training, and the NSW State Championships. (Funds kindly deployed from the now inactive, Southern Rugby Alliance)
None of it came from the football operating budget. That is the point.

HOW THE FOUNDATION IS RUN
Applications open in January. The RRF committee reviews each one against the Foundation’s stated objectives. Approvals are made on merit. Every allocation is reported back to the club and to donors, in dollars and in destination. Funds raised in one season are deployed in the next.
Every dollar can be tracked from the donor to the field.
WHY THIS MATTERS
The Foundation exists for works that might otherwise go unfunded. A small group of supporters made $25,000+ happen. With more of the club behind it, the Foundation can fund more.
HOW TO GIVE
All donations are tax deductible
Donors of $300 or more receive two tickets to a Thank You to Donors Day, with a guest welcome at no extra cost
Monthly contributions totalling $300 or more by 30 June qualify on the same terms
